How To Set Up Your Apple Watch For Sleep Tracking

Understanding Apple Watch Sleep Tracking

Setup and Configuration
Initial Setup
- Open Health app
- Tap “Get Started” under Sleep setup
- Configure key settings:
- Sleep Goals: Define desired sleep hours
- Bedtime/Wake Up: Set sleep schedule
- Sleep Focus: Manage notifications and screen settings
- Track Sleep: Enable Apple Watch tracking
 

Adjusting Wind Down and Sleep Goals
On iPhone
- 1Open Health app > Browse > Sleep
- 2Tap Full Schedule & Options
- 3Select Wind Down or Sleep Goal
- 4Adjust time and save changes

On Apple Watch
- 1Open Sleep app
- 2Tap alarm icon in upper-left
- 3Select Wind Down or Sleep Goal
- 4Use +/- buttons to adjust time
- 5Tap back arrow to save

Managing Sleep Schedule
iPhone Options
Next Wake Up Only:
- 1. Health app > Sleep
- 2. Tap Edit under Next
- 3. Use slider for Bedtime/Wake Up
- 4. Configure alarm settings
- 5. Tap Done
Full Schedule:
- 1. Health app > Sleep
- 2. Select Full Schedule & Options
- 3. Choose schedule to edit
- 4. Set Days Active and times
- 5. Configure alarm preferences

Apple Watch Options
Next Wake Up Only:
- 1. Open Sleep app
- 2. Tap alarm icon
- 3. Adjust Wake Up/Bedtime
- 4. Set alarm and sounds
- 5. Save for next day
Full Schedule:
- 1. Open Sleep app
- 2. Tap alarm icon
- 3. Select schedule under Full Schedule
- 4. Set Active days
- 5. Adjust times and alarm settings

Configure Livity Integration
Follow these steps to connect your Apple Watch sleep data with Livity:
- 1Open the Livity app on your iPhone
- 2Go to Settings → Integrations
- 3Select "Apple Health"
- 4Enable "Sleep Analysis" permission
Verify Data Sync
After your first night of sleep tracking, verify that your data is syncing correctly with Livity. You should see your sleep data appear in the app within a few minutes of waking up.
Troubleshooting
Data not syncing?
Make sure Livity has permission to access Health data in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Missing sleep stages?
Ensure your Apple Watch is worn snugly and has at least 30% battery before sleep.
