Our Story
In April 2024, I heard about Whoop from friends and decided to try it out. I had an Apple Watch at the time and loved it, but Whoop's approach to health tracking intrigued me. The problem? I didn't want to switch devices or wear two bands on my wrist.
I searched everywhere for "Whoop for Apple Watch" and found nothing. That's when it hit me: if I wanted this, others probably did too. As an iOS developer with 7 years of experience and an amateur volleyball player with 3-4 practices per week, I knew exactly what I needed.
What started as a personal problem turned into a family project. My sister, UX UI designer, crafted the beautiful mockups and interface you see today. My girlfriend dove into product research, helping map out features that would actually matter to real people tracking their health. And I brought everything to life through code.
Every volleyball practice became a test lab. After each session, I'd check my total calories, monitor heart rate patterns, analyze how I slept, and see if I was ready for the next training. Livity provided me insights that helped me understand my body and improve my game.
But as we continued development, something became clear: this wasn't just for athletes. The same recovery insights that helped me prepare for volleyball practice were equally valuable for anyone trying to understand their sleep quality, manage daily stress, or simply live a healthier life. Whether you're training for a competition or just trying to feel more energized, we developed it for you.
